Portraits

Next target is on our learning Schedule is to understand what is Portrait Photography. for that I would like to write some thing about portraits.

Portrait Photography is the art of capturing a subject in which the face, facial features as well as facial expressions are made predominant. Portrait photographers aim is to focus on the person’s face. They aim to give emphasis on the face of the person because this will also be the focus or the emphasis of the photograph. This does not mean, however, that the person’s body or even the background will no longer be included. Under portrait photography, these can still be included in the photo by the portrait photographer but again, the focus or the emphasis should be on the person’s face, facial expression and even distinct facial features.

So for that purpose we take quick idea about what is portrait photography and studied about famous Photographer Richard Avedon. Here something about him.

American photographer Richard Avedon was best known for his work in the fashion world and for his minimalist portraits. He worked first as a photographer for the Merchant Marines, taking identification photos. He then moved to fashion, shooting for Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, demanding that his models convey emotion and movement, a departure from the norm of motionless fashion photography.

Then we walk here and there to take photographs and took following Shots in the Ahungalla Area.

This is my favorite one.

finally we took some self portraits.

Tried it again at home. here is me. It's Self portrait time....
